02-12-07: NORTH WALES COAST FA CUP - CLUB STATEMENT
After much deliberation we have recently informed the North Wales Coast FA of our withdrawal from the NWCFA Challenge Cup for this season.
Due to the fact we play more league games than any other team in the competition, our progress in various cup competitions this season has created a fixture build up that will get worse as the season progresses. The club has taken this decision out of respect to our planned opponents Pwllheli, and the Competition as a whole, we withdraw at this time rather than later (if we had progressed).
Our circumstances this season have been further disadvantaged by the FAW interpretation on player registrations which uniquely affects ourselves in the league in which we compete. These rules prevent us having a wider pool of players to call upon when fixture congestion issues emerge. |
